What are the precautions for the use of insulated shoes?

Author:

Insulated shoes are safety shoes made of insulating materials. The new standard specifies the applicable range of insulated shoes: insulated shoes and insulated shoes covered with cloth at working frequencies lower than 50KF with a test voltage lower than 15KV. 1000V and a test voltage above 15KV. Insulated shoes are suitable for working environments where the power frequency is higher than 1000V.

Precautions for using insulated shoes:

1. Insulating shoes should be correctly selected according to the voltage level of the workplace. It is prohibited to use low-voltage insulated boots as safety aids on high-voltage electrical equipment. High-voltage insulated shoes can be used as auxiliary safety boots on both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical equipment. However, whether you are wearing low-voltage or high-voltage insulated shoes, do not use your hands to directly touch electrical equipment.

2. Insulating shoes covered with cloth should only be used in a dry environment to avoid wet cloth.

3. Never damage the use of insulating shoes.

4. When wearing them, pants should be put into the boots. When wearing insulated shoes, the length of the pants should not be equal to the length of the outer edge of the sole, not to mention the ground, and keep the cloth surface dry.

5. Rubber soles that are not resistant to acids, alkalis and oils should not come into contact with acids, alkalis and oily substances, and sharp objects should be avoided. If the bottom pattern has been polished and the internal color has been exposed, low-voltage insulated boots cannot be used as insulated boots.

6. When buying insulated shoes, please check whether the shoes have permanent insulation markings on them, such as the red lightning symbol and the pressure resistance of the soles. Whether the shoes have a certificate of conformity, safety marking certificate and production license number, etc.
